A comparison of racism : the upfront racism of South Africa : the sneaky racism of Australia

Bruce Haigh has to-day published a very topical take on racism.  I want Australians to read this article, reflect on it, and see themselves - or some of themselves - mirrored here.  Not everyone in Australia is racist but how many of us stand against racist comments and actions?  How many call popular and influential people when they make their subtle dog-whistling comments?  For those of you who think you are not racists but who don't call to account those who are just remember the old adage:  sit down with dogs and you rise up with fleas!  So please go hear for a lucid description and expose of us.

This blog does not take Anonymous comments. Experience shows that comments cluttered with "Anonymous" are boring and people don't know whether "Anonymous" is one person or many. This is not a decision about freedom of speech. It is a decision about boring or unwillingness to be known by even a pseudonym.
